Born and raised in District 3, I have been married to the former Ellen Vise for 28 years. We have one daughter, Beth. My family and I are active members of Southside Baptist Church where I serve as a deacon.

I am fortunate to be in my 29th year of my career with Sony of Dothan. My current position is Senior Production Specialist. Presently, I serve as the representative for Dothan on the Alabama Municipal Electric Authority. I am also serving as President of the 2nd Congressional District and Chairman of the

Planning Organization. I serve on the Leadership Team in the current "Yes We Can" movement to improve our Dothan City Schools. From 1997 to 2005, I served on the Houston County Healthcare Authority for the Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

The experience I have gained in my work, as well as community service, has strengthened and expanded my leadership and management skills to prepare Dothan for our future. We have had many accomplishments in District 3 and our city over the past three and one half years. Some include resurfacing over 60 miles of roads and budgeting 1.5 million per year for future resurfacing. In the last three years, the city has implemented a schedule rotation and budgeted funding for replacing emergency, garbage and electrical vehicles. The city has worked with the county and state to design and reconstruct the intersection of Cottonwood Road and Saunders Road. This project will be completed in 2009.

We must have FOCUSED LEADERSHIP FOR DOTHAN'S FUTURE to bring new business into Dothan to provide jobs for today and tomorrow. My pledge to you is to continue to be accessible and accountable to the citizens of District 3 and continue working hard to make Dothan an even more viable place to live, work and raise our families.
